Nothing here needs an account or a login, and nothing is personalised, so there is not much to gather in the first place. No analytics tool, advertising pixel or tracking script of ours runs on these pages. What does exist is the standard record our web host keeps for every website: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser and device string your software sends. We build no profile from them, and we sell no personal information.
The contact form on this site is switched off and transmits nothing. If you email us at one of the addresses on the Contact page, we hold your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with what you raised. No mailing list, no newsletter, nothing follows from it.
The law, with its usual exceptions, lets you ask what we hold about you and seek access, correction or deletion. Your location may also give you rights to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdrawing consent, and to complaining to your privacy regulator. Send the request through the Contact page and it will be dealt with.
Our readership is in Canada, and the site is published with that in mind. Where our processing falls within their scope, Canadian federal and provincial privacy law, the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR apply. We do not claim that every regime applies to every visitor — that depends on where we operate and who we target, not simply on where you happen to be sitting.
